Become a Street Rep

Each street needs a representative

Being a Street Rep is an important role in helping neighbours. Each street has a representative who is tasked with identifying which neighbours need help. If there is a neighbour who does not have a support network, the street rep can ensure they get help by referring this neighbour to Slaithwaite Mutual Aid.

The Street Rep role can be done almost entirely remotely, which means you can do this from home and it takes very little time.  If each street has a representative, the entire village is covered.

Become a Delivery Driver

Help deliver food and medicine

For those who cannot leave the house, it is very difficult to get weekly shopping or prescription medication. Volunteering as a delivery driver helps keep our isolating neighbours fed and healthy.

All drivers simply need to have motor insurance that covers them for volunteering use with no driving convictions on their license in the past 3 years.
